I had the same thought that what this guy is doing looks a bit like what happened before in history, when Hitler and the Nazi party engaged in a prolonged campaign of demonizing and dehumanizing Jewish people and other minority groups well before the implementation of the (Final Solution) and the systematic extermination of millions of people.

People tend to see what they are inclined to believe, not what reality presents to their eyes. No matter how compelling the evidence or how evident the truth may be, they remain in denial, as their preconceived notions and personal biases create a barrier that distorts their perception.
